Dunkelziffer is the sixth studio album within the exceptional career of one of the most defining electro-bands. Their club hits like Snuff Machinery, Laughingstock, Richtfest I & II, Kreuzgang or Rot are milestones on international dancefloors.

rocco150Rocco – 1999 (Less Than Ten)
(Less Than Ten)
Deep House / House / Techno

Writing and producing dance music in “Less Than Ten” running processes? Indeed this sounds a little out of the norm especially for modern digital audio workstation abilities, but where have the ideas gone? Energy and ideas are the strengths and not the aspect of having limitless options of sound is key to strong character-full music.

pakmajn150Various Artists – PAK MAN
(Man Recordings)
Electronic / World / Reggae

Mixpak Records and Man Recordings are two labels with a shared, global perspective. Brooklyn based Mixpak has established itself as a proponent of Caribbean music worldwide, while Berlin label Man Recordings specializes in regional electronic styles from the Southern hemisphere. Now the two labels have temporarily alligned in “PAK MAN”, a collaborative compilation EP that brings together like-minded producers from both sides. The compilation EP features collabos by Schlachthofbronx + Jubilee, Dre Skull + Daniel Haksman, Poirier + Douster, Murlo + Wildlife! and So Shifty + Milangeles.

silly walks150Various Artists – Clock Tower Riddim
(Silly Walks Discotheque)

olivia trumm150Olivia Trummer – Fly Now
Jazz / Vocal Jazz

It doesn’t need more than one of Olivia Trummer’s piano chords to soothe the busyness of a café in New York City and capture people’s attention. The vocalist and pianist touches people with her songs and spirited improvisations. She is leaving a mark with her lyrics that open up a very personal view of love, solitude and letting go while poetically mediating between head and heart.

sofi150Sofi de la Torre – Give up at 2
(Facelove / Oh My Sweet Entertainment)

GIVE UP AT 2 collects the recent Sofi de la Torre singles , Noir and the cult songs Vermillion, described by Billboard as one of the best tracks of the year.

Additional tracks are the Vermillion sexy remix by Crom & Thanh and a new amazing track tha also names the EP: Give up at 2.

elieGuillou150Elie Guillou – Chanteur Public
(Hé Ouais Mec Productions)
Chanson / Folk / French

Songwriter, traveller, humanist : since 2006, Elie Guillou is a singular character of the French scene. In 2011 he invents a new trade : Public Singer. As in the letter writer trade, the whole point is to put the songwriting process in the service of others, to go along with the defining moments of one’s life. This proposal meets an immediate success and the most diverse requests start flowing in : births, funerals, portraits, declarations of love, quarrels… This album is the fruit of this process and selects ten stories, ten songs depicting unique moments anyone could have lived.

sylvie150Sylvie Simmons – Sylvie
(Light In The Attic)

“The main constant in my life, aside from escape, has been music,” Sylvie says, “writing about it in public and playing it in secret, until now.” On her intimate, mesmerizing debut she lays herself bare. “Clearly from my songs, my skin is thinner than a butterfly’s wing, but these are true songs, and this is how they came out, alone in the dead of night, sad, sweet, and mysterious.”
