brace yourself for the creme de la creme of the releases from the first week of november. The diversity of genres should please any taste. Melancholiacs might favor Scott Matthew‘s Single Remix, or like to meditate to Buddha Deluxe Lounge. The ones who are into experimental electronic and ambient music should take a listen to Mario Hammer And The Lonely Robot. It is getting jazzy with Sam Sadigursky‘s brand new project and punky with the DIY artists from Bonecrusher.
Our highlight this week is the melancholic album “III” fom Bersarin Quartett, released by the german label “Denovali Records”.
All the best
III (Denovali Records)
Ambient / IDM / Electronica
There is a thin line between melancholia and sadness, and music which is meant to be melancholic too often crosses this line by far. Only very few artists succeed in avoiding this crossing, and in creating music which is melancholia in its most pure form. It is safe to say that BERSARIN QUARTETT – the electronic music project of Thomas Bücker – is one of them. After his successfull selftitled debut in 2008 and the sophomore “II” in 2012 – album of the month in many magazines and in numerous “Best of the year” lists – Bücker returns with his third BERSARIN QUARTETT album “III”, due for release 6.11.2015 on Denovali Records.
Soul to Save (Trummerschlunk Remix) (Glitterhouse Records)
Electronic / House
Trummerschlunk`s Single Remix Soul To Save is a melancholic-electronic translation of the same titled Scott Matthew song, which can be found in original version on his current album This Here Defeat. The Berlin producer Trummerschlunk (Klaus Scheuermann / Tubbe) , also responsible for the mixing of the This Here Defeat album, takes Scott Matthew musically by the hand and brings him from the concert hall on the dance floors. Fine crafted modular synthesizer lounging on industrial soundscapes, spinning between driving, analog beats.
Buddha Deluxe Lounge, Vol. 11 (Manifold)
Electronic / Lounge
Buddha Deluxe Lounge is one of Manifold’s long lasting success series. Compiles the best 50 tracks out of 7 years Buddha Deluxe Lounge plus 2 mixes from DJ Maretimo.
Mario Hammer And The Lonely Robot
L’esprit De L’escalier (TRAUM Schallplatten)
Electronic / Ambient
Our new album on TRAUM “L´esprit De L´escalier” was written by Mario Hammer which for most of you will come as a big surprise. We have been working with him behind the scene for some time. The album was created in over 12 months. Delicate analogue sounds without any beat and without any digital helping hands make it a courageous and sparkling album of fantastic soundscapes with ambience
