finetunes signs chart-approved Punkrockers Itchy Poopzkid and Findaway Records

finetunes is pleased to announce the signing of Findaway Records, the new label co-owned by Sebastian “Sibbi” Hafner, singer of the German Pop Punk band Itchy Poopzkid.

Itchy Poopzkid released three albums on Where Are My Records, distributed by Sony BMG and Universal, before founding Findaway Records in order to release their upcoming album “Lights Out London” on February 25th. On the same day, all three backcatalogue albums will also be reissued on Findaway with several bonus tracks.

Established in 2001 in the suburbs of Stuttgart, the band have played more than 600 concerts, shared stages and toured with the likes of Sum 41 and Yellowcard and battled in the MTV reality show “Band Trip” against German alternative rockers Madsen (and won the band battle). Their most recent album “Dead Serious” entered the German album charts upon its release in 2009 at #39. From March to May 2011, Itchy Poopzkid return to the stage for 15 shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Sibbi Hafner, Itchy Poopzkid, states: “We came to finetunes through recommendation from other label owners we know. Their independent yet professional approach fits the way we want to do our band and our label. And it got even better when we found out that finetunes would also provide the MP3 voucher code for the vinyl version of ‘Lights Out London’.”

Christian Giering, Client and Label Care, finetunes, adds: “Still going strong after ten years, this band obviously knows what they’re doing. When they asked us to support their new label, how could we say no?”
