Dear friends,

Welcome back to the next instalment of the finetunes weekly highlight.

Currently based in Berlin, All The Luck In The World is Neil Foot, Ben Connolly and Kelvin Barr. In 2014 ATLITW received huge international acclaim for their track Never. Their newest project A Blind Arcade has been crafted from the ground up, featuring homemade instruments and sampled acoustic sounds. The album itself was recorded in the Golden Retriever Studio with the help of producer Paul Pilot.

Bringing to mind a long time favourite Youtube blog of ours La Blogothèque, the band also filmed a brilliant live session with Roughcast Recordings.

Mixing it up a little for us, literally, is Red Bull Thr3style DJ World Champion Eskei83 and Funkanomics.

Supported by DJ Craze and trap god UZ, their newest track Bandula is riddled with hip-hop influences as well as quirky Eastern references and instrumentation. Driving drums and a snappy bassline allows the track to progress with irresistible groove, whilst twangs of melody weave their way through in striking style.

It’s live today, if you’re ready? Click Here and also check out the master himself at work in the following clip.

Ahead of the Branches of Sun album release only a mere two weeks away, Aukai releases Nightfall to further whet our appetite. We love this composer’s unique approach to the modern classical style. Mixed and mastered by Martyn Heyne (The National, Dustin O’Halloran) at Berlin’s Lichte Studio. Aukai conceived Nightfall during his picturesque winter stay in a Colorado cabin and the track is imbued with the feelings found during comfortable isolation.

Click Here to pre-order the album and you can see below the fantastic live edition of Nightfall performed at the Vox Ton Studio Berlin.

Further interesting releases can be found below in the form of Lydmor, Influx and more.

Regards,
Your finetuners

Influx (WhyPlayJazz)
Jazz
With an octet that includes a string trio, guitarist/composer Paul Peuker has created an incredible universe of sound that catapults the guitar back into contemporary jazz. A fascinating fusion of jazz and European contemporary classical music characterize Peuker’s exceptional compositions – critically praised and vibrant in a live setting.

Letila Zozulya (Bimba Records)
Electro, Nu-Jazz
Jazz meets Electronics meet Folk – Contrast Trio’s new creation is intense, danceable, and full of melancholy. For their third album “Letila Zozulya”, the Frankfurt musicians – the youngest winners in the history of Hesse Jazz prize – traveled to Kiev to record with a Ukrainian choir. In ten days of own production, the band shaped a homogenous, stunning record unrelated to any one genre.
