This year’s Reeperbahn Festival will begin on the 20th of September lasting for 4 days; playing host to 800 music industry events across different locations throughout Hamburg’s Reeperbahn. Since its debut in 2006, the Reeperbahn Festival has become an important worldwide music industry meeting place. Being Europe’s largest club festival, it also boasts a broad spectrum of emerging artists.
In addition to some 500 concerts by international artists held in a wide variety of venues. The festival programme includes events in the fields of fine art, film, and literature. Like previous years we participate with our own events and showcases, which is always a great opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old faces.
Reeperbahn festival for finetunes kicks off with our “The Orchard + finetunes at Reeperbahnfestival” event located at the Bahnhof Pauli on Thursday. As part of our slogan “Better Together” finetunes is proud to present our new colleagues from The Orchard and over the course of the event there will be plenty of time for everyone to get to know each other. Our music programme gets under way the same evening with electropop newcomers Flawes. Followed by performances by Flora Cash, The Aces and German indie sensation Mogli; an artist who successfully charted earlier this year with her soundtrack to the critically acclaimed documentary “Expedition Happiness”.
Friday’s extensive finetunes music line up can be found in the form of concerts by The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer, The Chairman, Adna; followed by Majestic Casuals Noah Slee & Zoology. Following the concert programm we continue with our official afterparty with plenty of room for exchange of dialogue and drinks!
Not including our own events and showcases, there are a lot of other finetunes artists playing concerts during the course of the weekend. Don’t miss urban brass Band Moop Mama playing a concert inside St. Paulis Große Freiheit 36 on Saturday or UK singer songwriter Charlie Cunningham at the St. Michaelis Kirche on Friday. Further must see shows include Erased Tapes Daniel Brandt, originally known as part of the infamous Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble, at Hamburg’s newest landmark Elbphilharmonie on Saturday.
